AMOEBA - EATO G HABITS IN HABITATS
The brain-eating amoeba, Naegleria fowleri, naturally feeds on bacteria and organic matter in warm freshwater. It does not normally feed on humans, but it can accidentally enter the nose and destroy brain tissue.
