Upgraded Springs (e.g., Carl Nelson): Drops the beltline height down to 29.5", which closes up the wheel well gap while preserving drivability. 

Alpina B2 Setup: A more aggressive drop to 28.5". 

Tire/Wheel Fitment: Enthusiasts generally agree on e9coupe.com that 14" to 16" wheels look best and minimize clearance issues inside the wheel well, as larger wheels often don't suit the stock opening.
