HIGH PERFORMANCE PETROL ENGINES

Boost and Compression Relationship
When running forced induction (turbochargers or superchargers), your dynamic or "effective" compression is calculated by your static compression ratio and your boost. High-performance builds with lower static compression (e.g., 8.5:1 to 9.5:1) rely on higher boost levels to achieve massive cylinder pressure without self-destructing.

NATURAL GAS EMISSIONS + EMISSIONS CAPTURE
Natural gas emissions come from two main sources: combustion, which releases carbon dioxide, and supply chain leaks, which release unburned methane. While burning natural gas for heat or electricity produces fewer emissions than coal, fugitive methane leaks along the supply chain significantly increase its overall climate footprint.
Combustion Emissions
When natural gas is burned, it emits significantly less carbon dioxide (CO₂) and almost zero particulate matter compared to coal or oil.
Power Generation: New natural gas combined-cycle plants emit roughly one-third of the CO₂ of a coal-fired plant for the same energy output.
End-Use: At the burner tip, natural gas produces about 50% less CO₂ than coal and 15–20% less than gasoline per unit of energy.
Methane Leakage
Methane (CH₄) is the primary component of natural gas. When unburned methane escapes into the atmosphere during extraction, processing, and transportation, it acts as an extremely potent greenhouse gas.
Heat Trapping: Methane traps over 80 times more heat than CO₂ over a 20-year period, driving immediate near-term global warming.
Fugitive Emissions: It is estimated that 2% to 3% of global natural gas escapes as fugitive emissions before it reaches the end user.
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG): Processing and transporting LNG requires intensive cooling and shipping, which can result in a higher lifecycle greenhouse gas footprint than even domestically transported coal.
