C/M factory warranties cover new vehicles with a 36-month/90,000 km basic warranty, a 5-year/120,000 km powertrain warranty, and specialized hybrid component coverage. Warranties attach directly to the vehicle's VIN and transfer automatically to subsequent owners.

Core Factory Warranty Terms

Basic Comprehensive Coverage: 36 months or 90,000 km (whichever comes first) for most vehicle components.

Powertrain Warranty: 60 months or 120,000 km covering the engine, transmission, and drive systems.

Hybrid-Related Components: 96 months or 160,000 km for specialized hybrid parts.

Hybrid Battery Coverage: 120 months or 240,000 km. 

Additional Protection & Transferability

VIN Attachment: The warranty stays with the car, meaning remaining coverage transfers automatically during a private sale. 

Extra Care Protection (ECP): Optional factory-backed plans extend mechanical, towing, and rental assistance up to 7 years or 200,000 km.

Exclusions: Regular wear-and-tear items (such as wiper blades, fuses, and brake pads) have limited or no coverage past the initial 6 months.
